Every gardener knows that the phrase ‘garden plants’, covers a multitude of different species and varieties from annuals to perennial plants with half hardy and bi-annuals in between. The one sector that has gained popularity over the past 5 years or so are the perennial flowers. These plants need planting only once and with the minimum of maintenance they will grow back every year and give a most magnificent display of blooms. They die back in the winter, allowing you to plant bulbs in between to flower in the spring.
You can either buy potted plants ready to plant out or if you want to save money and have the fun of growing your own, without all the hassle of sowing seeds or taking your own cuttings, you can use plug plants to produce you perennial garden plants.
